Documenting Project Management Experience - PMI Style

July 20th, 2007 · No Comments

One of the keys to documenting [tag]project management experience[/tag] for the [tag]PMI[/tag] is to map it to [tag]project management processes[/tag] and [tag]project management knowledge areas[/tag]. This will awaken you to what you actually have done related to project management, and will also awaken you to things that you can do. It also has the benefit in that it is a good traing exercise in the discipline of project management.[tag]Project Management Processes[/tag], or [tag]Project Management Process Groups[/tag]:

  1. Initiating
  2. Planning
  3. Executing
  4. Monitorring and Controlling
  5. Closing

[tag]Project Management Knowledge Areas[/tag]:

  1. Integration
  2. Scope
  3. Time
  4. Cost
  5. Quality
  6. Human Resource
  7. Communications
  8. Risk
  9. Procurement
